All of our WWII Veterans are our HEROES!!! Everyone in this great nation knows of a military hero personally!! Whether they are your brother or sister, your mother or father, grandfather or grandmother, your cousin, Aunt or Uncle, your neighbor, your spouse, high school friend, or a close family friend. When our nation called apon them to defend our freedoms, to protect us, or to help another nation in harm's way, they were there!! Our nation is forever in debt to these amazing men and women! THANK YOU for all your sacrifices and for your family's sacrifices! YOU ARE ALL OF OUR HEROES!!! |

| OUR MISSION TO ACCOMPLISH WITH THIS DINNER: This Veteran's Day Honoring American Troops wishes to do something greater then just sending out care packages to our deployed troops. We want to honor our surviving WWII Veterans and take them to D.C. On February 27, 2011 the last American WWI Veteran Frank Woodruff Buckles died at 110 years old. In 2007 he quoted "If your country needs you, you should be right there, that is the way I felt when I was young, and that's the way I feel today." Mr. Buckles was the last warrior, the last hero of his era and time is now catching up to the last of the WWII veterans era. According to Veterans Affairs there are currently less than 2 million American WWII veterans alive and they are dying at an average of 1,000 a day! Time to celebrate and honor these great men and women is expiring and we must act now. Most people around the world believe that these men and women are greatest generation to have ever lived! They did not ask to go to war or to put their lives on hold, but when America needed them, like Mr. Buckles, they were right there! Many made the ultimate sacrifice and died defending our great nation and securing our freedoms that you and I take for granted today. This November Honoring American Troops in conjunction with Be The Movement and other Veterans' Organizations will be holding a recognition dinner to honor these great WWII veterans and will be raising funds to charter these Hudson Valley WWII Veterans down to D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial. The memorial opened to the public on April 29, 2004 and was dedicated one month later on May 29. Many WWII veterans in the area have never seen it and this is a shame. The World War II Memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S., the more than 400,000 who died, and all who supported the war effort from home. Symbolic of the defining event of the 20th Century, the memorial is a monument to the spirit, sacrifice, and commitment of the American people. Please help us and support us for this amazing event! Thanks for your time and God Bless you, our troops, and America, Steven M. Nicoli President: Honoring American Troops www.HonoringAmericanTroops.com |
